So, The Green Lantern movie is going to be coming soon. After seeing the trailer, my first thought was oooh, Ryan Reynolds is hot! My second thought was a lot more complicated, but basically surmount to Ah, shoot, they made the Green Lantern white.

After I told my friend that I had not seen Flash Gordon, she declared she scrapped her jaw off the floor and insisted that we have a movie night. She decided to throw Barbarella in there, too, just to round the night out.

The result was an uber-cheesfest of scifi fabulocity.

I would like to point you in the direction of a most excellent post by yuki_onna, which points out that,
yes, Lost is a science fiction show, and that the producers blatant avoidance and disregard of this truth, has lead to the continued downfall of the show. As a whole it touches upon aspects of genre bias in general, and I think she makes a fair point ( Read more... )
